SUNY Korea was established as the first American university in Korea’s only smart city, Songdo. Approved by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) in South Korea and the SUNY Board of Trustees, SUNY Korea is operated by SUNY Korea, LLC, in partnership with Stony Brook University. Students receive degrees from Stony Brook University and most spend a year on Stony Brook’s campus in New York. SUNY Korea is one of four universities delivering undergraduate and graduate degree programs on the Incheon Global Campus supported by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, the Incheon Free Economic Zone and the Metropolitan City of Incheon.
