BENEFIT DINNER 2012
This year the Annual Benefit Dinner for the Center for India Studies was be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Akbar Restaurant, Garden City, New York, with Keynote Speaker eminent art historian Dr. Pratapaditya Pal. Dr Pal is Fellow for Research at the Norton Simon Museum at Pasadena, CA., and Visiting Curator of Indian and Southeast Asian Art at the Art Institute in Chicago. He is author of over 50 books and exhibition catalogues. He is also former Curator of South Asian Art at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and L.A. County Museum, and Editor of Marg magazine. We at the Center would like to thank the staff at Akbar, the student volunteers, the Executive Committee, the sponsors and all attendees in making this gala the sucess it was.
