International Student Success

International Student Success

Throughout the spring semester, the International Student Success Task Force (ISSTF), co-chaired by Charles Robbins, Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, and Jun Liu, Vice Provost for Global Affairs, delivered four recommendations to University leadership to increase international student success:

  1. In conjunction with university enrollment strategies, enhance and create new sustainable pipelines to recruit more high quality international students.
  2. Establish an international student success service hub to coordinate admission, orientation, advising, and career development.
  3. Organize a series of faculty workshops to encourage, inform, and share instructional best practices in coordination with the Provost's Office and the Faculty Center.
  4. Identify best practices in ESL curricula models across peer institutions to enhance student learning outcomes.

The ISSTF will continue to meet and move forward on these recommendations throughout the 2017/2018 academic year.
