PLACEMENT IN SPANISH CLASSES  [PDF doc]
Students should take a foreign language PLACEMENT EXAM in the Language Learning Research Center (LLRC).
Please see link for full information on different placement options (AP, SAT II, etc) and our placement exam:

Those students who score a 4 on the foreign language placement exam in Spanish should speak directly to the Spanish department for placement into upper division courses.

Students who have taken the Regents exam before 2011 and have scored 85 or above will have satisfied skill 3 or LANG requirements.

Please contact the Director of Undergraduate Studies for Spanish, Paul Firbas, Melville Library N3019 (paul.firbas@stonybrook.edu) or Lilia Ruiz-Debbe, Director of the Spanish Language program, lilia.ruiz-debbe@stonybrook.edu, with any questions.
