Student Staff Internship

Student Staff Interns consist of leading FSA student staff members and FSA professional staff. Their purpose is to advance key issues related to student staffing and to provide updated orientation and training to all FSA student staff. This activity is essential to engaging both student and professional staff in FSA’s priority of continuously enhancing both the quality and quantity of its on-campus student employment opportunities.

FSA is now recruiting for summer interns. If selected you will be required to work full time from May 30 through August 25, 2017.

This year interns will be working directly with FSA and CDS department managers to prepare for the best fall opening of school that Stony Brook has ever seen! Interns will be placed in marketing, human resources, FSA Services, IT, etc. and will gain work experience, as well as learn real world skills that will be transferable to your career once you graduate.

All students selected will receive their current rate of pay as compensation, and will be permitted to eat at ESD Dine-in for breakfast and lunch on work days. In addition, resident students will receive 65% of the on-campus double room rate, and commuter students will receive a $1200 housing allowance (paid in two installments - on or about July 15 and September 2).

All compensation is taxable and will be reported to the IRS.

If you would like to be considered for one of these opportunities you can apply here:

The deadline to apply is Monday, April 26, 2017 at 5 p.m.
