Announcements & Deadlines

In order to enhance our security efforts, our office is no longer accepting documentation as an e-mail attachment.  We can accept documentation via paper mail, fax, SOLAR Upload, or in person. We recommend using the "Upload Document" feature in your SOLAR To Do List (when available) for secure and faster processing.

The 17/18 FAFSA is still available! You will use your 2015 tax information to complete this application. Although the priority deadline to be considered for campus based aid including Federal Work Study and SEOG was February 15th, you can still file an application to be considered for other federal aid. Check out the 7 Easy Steps to the FAFSA if you require assistance.

Do you have an estimated TAP Award?  Students who have an estimated TAP Award need to check their account on HESC to verify they have a TAP application on file with Stony Brook's school code (0875).  Estimated awards are NOT anticipated toward your bill!

Did you receive a notification saying you were selected for verification? If your To Do List is requesting tax documentation with your verification worksheet, please note we can no longer accept copies of tax returns! Please order a tax return transcript at
