Prestigious, nationally competitive awards for a year of overseas study, research, or teaching. All majors/disciplines are eligible and foreign language proficiency not necessarily required.

Eligibility:

  • Undergraduates who will be graduating in Fall 2024, Spring 2025, or Summer 2025
  • Graduate students who will not yet have received their PhD by Fall 2024
  • Recent alumni
  • All majors/disciplines
  • U.S. citizens
  • Must meet any country-specific requirements
  • Must apply by the Campus Endorsement Deadline

 

Description:
If you are an undergraduate who will be graduating in Fall 2024, Spring 2025, or Summer 2025, consider applying by the September 3, 2024 Fulbright Campus Endorsement Deadline. Graduate students who will not have received their PhD by this date are also eligible to apply, as are recent alumni. These awards provide funding to conduct research (in any field!), teach English, or enroll in a Master's program overseas for the 2024-25 academic year. Foreign language proficiency is not necessarily required; please review the award description for details.

Campus Deadline: Tuesday, September 3, 2024. Campus nomination required, late applications will not be considered. Applicants MUST participate in SBU's Fulbright Application Accelerator beginning in June 2024.

Advising: Advising for the 2024 application cycle will begin in March 2024. To be contacted about information sessions, one-on-one consultation opportunities, and other Fulbright-related events, please fill out the Fulbright advising form.

 
Additional Information:
This is the 2023 information about the Fulbright program and enrolling in the Application Accelerator. Similar sessions about this year's program will be offered in March 2024, but this will give you an idea of how these summer sessions will support the written portions of the application: the short answer questions, the Personal Statement, and the Statement of Grant Purpose.
