Nurse Practitioner - Clinical Instructor

Required Qualifications

Current NYS RN Licensure, NYS Certification as a NP and current board certification or eligibility in the specialty area of Family Medicine. MS degree in nursing, must have completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner course of training. Experience in Primary Care and medicare annual visits.

Preferred Qualifications

Five or more years in an outpatient clinical office. Minimum one year clinical experience which includes Pediatrics.

Responsibilities & Requirements

The nurse practitioner will provide direct patient care to all patients of the practice. Work as a team member, clearly communicate patient care issues, perform clinical evaluations, transition of care visits. Medicare annual exams, well hild visits, acute visits and management of patients. This will involve histories, physical examinations, procedures and lab testing. Position will also involve teaching and supervision of other members of healthcare team and trainees, (e.g. RN, NP and medical students).

Special Notes

This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
