Clinical Assistant to Clinical Professor

Required Qualifications

MD with Board certifications in Psychiatry in Adult Psychiatry. New York State license. B.E./B.C. in Adult Psychiatry

Preferred Qualifications

Clinical experience with Psychiatric patients in a Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program or other Psychiatric Emergency Setting. Track record of Research experience in Emergency psychiatry. Track record in teaching experience in Emergency psychiatry. Interest/training in Child Psychiatry

Responsibilities & Requirements

A clinician is needed to serve as an Attending Psychiatrist in our Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program. Shifts totaling 40 hours per week with cross-coverage as necessary. The Clinical Assistant Professor will be responsible for psychiatric evaluation, and management of patients in CPEP/ED of University Hospital. The Clinical Assistant Professor will also be responsible for teaching and supervision of medical students and residents.

Special Notes

This is a non-tenure track position.  FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.  Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date:  As soon as possible.
