Child Inpatient Director

Required Qualifications

Child Psychiatrist (MD/DO) with Board Eligibility or Board Certification required in Child and Adolescence psychiatry.  New York State license necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in research and teaching.  A track record of academic accomplishment preferred.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Clinician needed to serve as a Medical Director of a 10 bed inpatient unit for 5-12 year olds.  Responsibilities include direct patient care involving psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and treatment of pediatric patients with a team consisting of a psychologist, social worker, nursing staff, residents, and fellows at the University Hospital.  Also teaching and supervision of residents and medical students; initiating, collaborating, conducting research, and part-time outpatient work to facilitate continuity of care. 

To qualify for a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure.

Special Notes

This is a non-tenure track position.  FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.  Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.  Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
