Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in Consultation and Liaison Psychiatry

Required Qualifications

MD degree.  Board Certified/Eligible in Adult Psychiatry.  New York State license eligible.

Preferred Qualifications

Fellowship in Psychosomatic medicine and/or dual boards in Internal Medicine.  Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychosomatic Medicine.  Experience in an academic medical center consultation liaison service.  Track record of research/teaching.

Responsibilities & Requirements

The Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Psychiatry in Consultation and Liaison Service will perform clinical, administrative and educational work, including teaching of residents, medical students and fellows.  Opportunities in research, quality improvement and to develop integrated care programs in ambulatory medical-surgical areas.

Special Notes

This is a non-tenure track position.  FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.  Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Eligibility for advanced level positions will be based upon applicants' qualifications and experience.  To qualify for a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure). Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
