Associate Professor/Professor

Required Qualifications

M.D. Board Certified in Urology, New York State Medical License or eligibility.  Fellowship trained in Pediatric Urology.  Ten plus years of experience in hospital administration and physician outreach.  Demonstrated clinical and/or laboratory research.

Preferred Qualifications

Pediatric Urology with emphasis on voiding dysfunction, laparoscopy, reconstruction of urinary tracts and congenital anomalies.  Published in major urological journals.  Experience in leadership positions.  Academically oriented including teaching students and residents.  Track record of successfully establishing a Pediatric Urology Fellowship.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Provide patient care, supervise resident and medical student education, develop and expand services in Pediatric Urology for Stony Brook Children's Hospital as well as assist in outreach and development of other surgical sub-specialties.  Participate in clinical and/or laboratory research.  Academic appointment and salary negotiable depending on experience.

Special Notes

This is a non-tenure track position.  FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.  Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
