Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor
Required Qualifications
PhD, MD or equivalent. Minimum of four (4) years of postdoctoral research in academic
environment in Biomedical Sciences. Experience in the fields of metabolomics, cancer
biology, medical imaging, and/or computational oncology. Capability of functioning
as a student mentor with strong organizational and administrative skills. Excellent
communication skills as demonstrated by lead authorship of published research communications.
Experience with grant applications. Record of grant support at the national level.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstration of academic capability, such as a prior research experience and productivity,
and current productivity. Prior history for obtaining R01-level federal support for
cancer research. Teaching experience.
Responsibilities & Requirements
The Assistant/Associate/Full Professor will serve as the Principal Investigator and
Director of a laboratory that will focus on basic and/or translational biomedical
cancer research in the fields of metabolomics, cancer biology, medical imaging and/or
computational oncology. There will be a substantial commitment to writing of manuscripts
and grant applications. In addition, selected incumbent will be responsible for training
graduate students, residents and postdoctoral fellows in research methodology.
Special Notes
This is a tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime
provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Eligibility for tenure will be based upon applicants' qualifications and experience.
To qualify for tenure and/or a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet
the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure). Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
