Required Qualifications
MD or equivalent. Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Experience teaching internal
medicine residents and/or students in an outpatient setting.
Preferred Qualifications
MPH or MBA or MPA. Academic and/or clinical administrative experience.
Responsibilities & Requirements
The Division of General Medicine, Geriatrics and hospital Medicine is recruiting a
clinical educator to direct the Stony Brook Primary Care General Medicine Resident
Clinic. This clinical practice is a robust NCQA-Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical home,
which provides the site for continuity primary care outpatient experience for internal
medicine-pediatrics residents and geriatric medicine fellows. Stony Brook University
has established itself as one of America's most dynamic public universities, a center
of academic excellence and leader in health education, patient care and research.
With over 600 beds, Stony Brook Hospital is the region's only tertiary care center
and Regional Trauma Center.
Special Notes
This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime
provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Eligibility
for tenure will be based upon applicants' qualifications and experience. To qualify
for a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established
by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure). Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
