Assistant / Associate / Full Professor (part time or full time)

Required Qualifications

Bone and Soft Tissue Pathologist.  MD or Equivalent.  American Board of Pathology Certification in Anatomic Pathology.  Eligibility for New York State licensure.  Sub-specialty expertise and/or training in Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology required with at least 4 years of post-fellowship experience.  Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstration of scholarly capability, evidence of academic productivity reflected by first or senior authorship of manuscripts published in peer-reviewed journals, teaching experience.

Responsibilities & Requirements

The Assistant / Associate / Full Professor will sign out of all bone and soft tissue specimens, the organization of the Bone and Soft Tissue Tumor Board, and participation in the research and teaching missions of the department.  Academic rank at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine will be commensurate with experience and academic record.

Eligibility for a senior faculty appointment will be based upon applicants' qualifications and experience.  To qualify for  a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure).

Special Notes

Tenure/Non-Tenure Track.  FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.  Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.  Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
