Research Assistant Professor

Strong research record.  Ph.D. earned within the last three years.

Responsibilities & Requirements

It is expected that Research Assistant Professors (RAPs) will have a daily presence at the Center during the Stony Brook academic year and be an active participant in the activities in the center that overlap with their scientific interests.  RAPs are expected to assist in the organization of workshops and programs in the Center, perform independent and collaborative research, apply for research grants and prepare their work for publication.

Special Notes

This is a non-tenure track position.  FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.  Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2019.

Campus Description
