Endowed Associate, Full Professors or Chairs
Required Qualifications
Applications are invited for up to four tenure-track faculty positions at the rank
of endowed associate professor or endowed chair (full professor) in the Institute
for Advance Computational Science (IACS) at Stony Brook University. Ten years of faculty
or professional experience are required for a chair position along with a demonstrated
record of publications and research funding. At least five years of faculty or professional
experience are required for an associate position along with a demonstrated record
of publications and a demonstrated potential for research funding.
Responsibilities & Requirements The selected candidate is expected to participate in interdisciplinary program development
within the Institute and to establish a research program with a solid funding base
through both internal and external collaborations. Candidates chosen will have joint
appointments and hold tenure in a department including at least: Applied Mathematics
and Statistics; Biochemistry; Biomedical Informatics; Chemistry; Computer Science;
Electrical and Computer Engineering; Linguistics; Materials Science and Chemical Engineering;
Psychology; Sociology; or the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences. The selected
candidates will also have access to world-class facilities including those at nearby
Brookhaven National Laboratory.
