Tuesday, March 20th - 5:00pm

To All Students, Faculty and Staff:

Out of an abundance of caution and in anticipation of the winter weather expected for our region, all classes for  tomorrow Wednesday, March 21st, 2018  are canceled.

This applies to Stony Brook main campus, SB Southampton and SB Manhattan campuses and includes the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Health Technology & Management, School of Social Welfare, and the School of Dental Medicine. Students with clinical obligations should make every effort to attend rotations and contact their clinical coordinators with any questions or concerns.

Please note that only the Governor of New York State can close state offices, agencies, and campuses. When offices are open, employees are expected to report to work.  During emergencies non-essential employees may request supervisory approval to charge their accruals when offices are open. Essential employees must report in accordance with their schedules.

Please also note, University Hospital and the Long Island State Veterans Home employees are all deemed 'essential', are unaffected by this cancelation, and therefore must report to work according to their regular schedule. This also applies to employees designated as 'essential' in certain areas assigned to West Campus that deliver Health and related services, including, but not limited to:   Student Health Services (SHS), Counseling And Psychological Services (CAPS),  Center for Prevention and Outreach (CPO), Disability Support Services (DSS), and Campus Recreation (CREC).
