Call for Programs
Please join us as Stony Brook University presents its annual, award-winning celebration of Earth Day. We invite students, faculty, staff, community members, and organizations to submit a program proposal to host an event as part of Earthstock.
History
Having been founded by a small group of environmentally conscious and savvy students to highlight and celebrate Earth Day, Stony Brook University’s Earthstock has flourished into a weeklong series of educational programs that examine the deeply complex issues of sustainability and energy from almost every discipline and angle imaginable.
Partnerships
Our partners include undergraduate and graduate student organizations, academic departments, engaged individual faculty members, community and civic organizations, corporations, not-for-profits, centers for technology and religious groups.
Proposals
The campus and regional community are invited to coordinate and attend programs that provide information and provoke thought on topics related to Earth Day. Programs can pertain to a wide range of topics, related to environmental awareness and sustainability. Programs that discuss environmental themes in particularly unusual and innovative ways are highly encouraged!
Benefits Collaborating with Earthstock allows the planning committee the opportunity to assist you with:
