Incoming Student-Athletes Volunteer to Benefit Island Harvest

On July 26th, 2017, incoming student-athletes from the Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball and Football teams volunteered to benefit a local food bank, Island Harvest. The student-athletes volunteered at Mosaic Farm located in Brentwood. Mosaic Farms is a farm that was established for autistic young adults to learn job skills. The food grown at Mosaic Farms goes to Island Harvest, where it can then be distributed to the local community.

SB Serves Archive

The Career Center's archived community service publication Stony Brook Serves was dedicated to recognizing Stony Brook students, faculty, and staff who engage in community service activities individually, in a student group, or through outside internships or employment. In past issues, we have recognized the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), the PAR FORE mentoring program, the Chinese Association at Stony Brook (CASB), Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Alternative Spring Break Outreach (ASBO), and many others. The Career Center has produced SB Serves for four years, aided by a team of extremely talented Stony Brook students who both write and plan the publication.
