Within the past few years, much attention has been given to the importance of sustainable development. Most notably, the International Organization for Standardization established ISO 14000 to address the operational standards that relate to the environment. The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) was also established to promote development of cost-efficient and energy-saving buildings through the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) building certification program. These initiatives, as well as soaring energy costs, have in turn produced the need to merge environmentally-friendly approaches with traditional project management methodologies.
This workshop is for anyone involved in projects wishing to practice Green Project Management while bringing projects in on-time and on-budget in the real-world. Green Project Management approach enables project teams to fuse best practices from both the ISO14000 and PMI PMBOK standards, in a very practical way.
Upon completion, participants involved with PMI and the Project Management Institute's Project Management Professional (PMP) program, are awarded 32 PDUs or Contact Hours. Our PMI REP Code is 1270.
