This Fundamentals of Grammar workshop will give participants a greater understanding of language so their writing will become clearer and thus more effective. We will examine parts of speech, parts of the sentence, clause structure, subject/verb agreement, pronoun/antecedent agreement, preposition use, adjectives and adverbs, and misplaced and dangling modifiers. Use these skills to develop professional rapport and improve projects and proposals.

Through their scrutiny of effective and ineffective writing samples, participants will become more aware of their own writing. They will also practice composing and revising exercises to learn these skills and become more confident in them. Participants will work both individually and collaboratively.

Who Should Attend:

Any staff members whose communications are meant to persuade or influence; senior and mid-managers, supervisors, and all customer-facing staff. Technical product writers editors, supervisors, project managers, engineers, and many managers who work with publications - both online and in print.
