Green Building Verifier Training

As the national Green Building Certification grows, so does the need for accredited verifiers.  Qualified residential building industry professionals can become accredited by NAHB Research Center as national Green Building Certification Verifiers.  Accredited verifiers will inspect houses proposed for green certification and verify they meet the requirements of the National Green Building standards.

Prerequisites:

• NAHB Research Center will determine adequate experience to meet the acceptable level.  Please visit www.nahbgreen.org for additional information.
• One year of acceptable professional experience in home building,
• One year of professional experience in green building practices
• Designated by NAHB as a Certified Green Professional (GCP)
• Professional certification from Green Advantage, or 
• Green Building Certification from National Association for the Remodelers Industry (NARI)
• RESNET Green Rater certification
