Charting Interdisciplinary Approaches to Cancer Research

Co-organized by CEAS, Stony Brook Cancer Center, School of Medicine, the Laufer Center for Physical & Quantitative Biology, and the Office of Vice President of Research the workshop convened clinicians, scientists and engineers to share ideas, stimulate creative collaboration and kick off  a seed funding campaign for interdisciplinary cancer research.

Stony Brook Cyber Day 2016

Hosted by the National Security Institute (NSI), the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences convened the Stony Brook Cyber Day, to address the challenges of a future dominated by automation, and collaborate on to ways to improve security and privacy. NSI, part of the Department of Computer Science in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, is currently conducting over $10M in cyber security research through grants from the National Science Foundation, U.S. Army Research Laboratory’s Army Research Office, Office of Naval Research, and private industry.
