Congratulations to this Year's 40 Under Forty Honorees and Graduates from the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences
Each year, Stony Brook University honors forty distinguished alumni who are under 40 years of age and enjoying great success and making significant contributions to their field. This year eight honorees are graduates of the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. The honorees and their degrees include:
“We fully support the 40 Under Forty program as a venue to recognize and reward Stony Brook alumni for truly exceptional accomplishments and service,” said Fotis Sotiropoulos, Dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Stony Brook University. “We are especially proud of the graduates from the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences – we applaud their achievements, recognize their talents and look forward to their continued success and future contributions to the engineering and scientific community.”
Honorees were celebrated at the 40 Under Forty event on January 31, 2017 for their accomplishments as well as their pursuit of commendable community and civil service initiatives that extend beyond their professional lives. Selected from a diverse nominee pool of Stony Brook graduates, the honorees represent the University’s most creative and bold young professionals in science, technology, engineering, and medicine, as well as business, sports, and the arts, from groundbreaking researchers and tech innovators, to healthcare advocates and civic heroes.
