Each year, Stony Brook University honors forty distinguished alumni who are under 40 years of age and enjoying great success and making significant contributions to their field. Honorees were celebrated at the 40 Under Forty event on January 31, 2017 for their accomplishments as well as their pursuit of commendable community and civil service initiatives that extend beyond their professional lives. Selected from a diverse nominee pool of Stony Brook graduates, the honorees represent the University’s most creative and bold young professionals in science, technology, engineering, and medicine, as well as business, sports, and the arts, from groundbreaking researchers and tech innovators, to healthcare advocates and civic heroes.
