The Rahsaan T. Jackson Scholarship Award for Extraordinary Achievement

The Rahsaan T. Jackson Scholarship Award for Extraordinary Achievement will be awarded to a student enrolled in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences who exemplifies the attributes associated with Rahsaan, a talented student in Electrical Engineering who passed away in 1998, after a long and brave battle with a debilitating illness. Those attributes are: a strong record of academic achievement, integrity, courage, and determination. 

To qualify for the Rahsaan T. Jackson Scholarship, interested students must:

A. Be enrolled as a full time undergraduate student in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences for the full academic year (BOTH the fall and the spring semesters)

B. Exemplify the attributes associated with Rahsaan. Those attributes are: scholarship as shown through a strong academic record of academic achievement, integrity, courage and determination

Interested candidates should submit the following documents:

1. A completed application form

2. A one-page narrative describing how the applicant has demonstrated his or her motivation and academic achievement in spite of special challenges (describing the challenges which may or may not be a physical handicap)

3. A resume

Important Notes:

All scholarship awards are subject to renewal of the scholarship by the donor and receipt of funding for these awards.

If selected to receive this scholarship, you will be required to furnish this office with a letter of thanks to the donor of the scholarship. Details will be specified in the scholarship offer letter.

 

Students who are in their graduate career of an accelerated degree program are ineligible to receive an undergraduate scholarship award.
