2018 Changes for the Project Management Body of Knowledge
In 2018, PMI® will release a new Project Management Body of Knowledge and certification exam. However, there is still time to earn your certification based on the current course.
To help you earn your certification before the changes take place, CCE is offering a four-day PMP/CAPM Work-Boot Camp, combining two of our “PMI® Best of the Best” workshops into one cohesive package.
Course OutlinePart 1: Project Planning and Control Workshop teaches the tools and techniques needed in the Project Manager/Leader roles, covering the following Best Practices:
- Risk management
- Change management
- Coordination between the Project and Management, Clients/Users, Team Members and Support Groups
Part 2: PMI® PMP/CAPMExam Preparation Workshop expands on and delves into practical Project Management concepts and tools as well
as teaches “How to think like PMI®” and “How to pass the exam.”
- The Project Planning and Control workshop is approved by PMI® for 14 Contact Hours.
- PMI® PMP/CAPM Exam Prep is approved for 21 Contact Hours and PDUs
Together, they meet the 35 Contact Hour training requirement for PMP and exceed the 23 Contact Hours required for the CAPM.
The Work-Boot Camp provides an in-depth and comprehensive exploration of all aspects of project management, with the small class size allowing for individualized instruction and coaching.
Sessions include lectures and individual and group exercises. Attendees receive all course materials including professionally-created participant guides, realistic case studies (with recommended solutions) and numerous PMP/CAPM Exam prep questions as well as a copy of the latest edition of PMI®’s Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide).
Our instructors will also provide assistance with setting up post-class Study Groups and completing PMI® Exam Applications.
Who Should Attend
The Work-Boot Camp brings together PMP and CAPM candidates, since both PMP and CAPM exams are based on the PMBOK. (Note: The PMP exam includes more advanced situational questions based on “other materials.”)
Combining both groups results in the following benefits:
- PMP candidates get the opportunity to share their experience with CAPM candidates
- CAPM candidates are exposed to more challenging material
- Team exercises with both groups become mini cross-functional team projects and mini study groups
