Undergraduates in Arts & Sciences

Coming to the College of Arts and Sciences at Stony Brook, you will have an education like no other.  Stony Brook is New York’s premier public research university.  Students who come here not only learn about the arts, humanities, and the sciences, they get to do arts, humanities, and sciences.  As a student you will work along side our faculty, discovering new knowledge in the lab, researching new scholarly understandings of history and culture, or performing new and original works on stage.  As the old saying goes, you can’t learn to ride a bicycle by listening to someone tell you about it, you have to do it for yourself.  With the support of our faculty, this can be you as a student in the College of Arts and Sciences.
