Lewis, Herbert F.

Dr. Herbert F. Lewis's research uses the methodology of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to evaluate the productivity and efficiency of complex organizations and processes. Along with Professor Thomas R. Sexton and other coauthors, he has made several advances to the DEA methodology, including pioneering work on Network DEA.  Dr. Lewis has applied DEA in such diverse fields as health care, marketing, finance, sports management, and transportation.

Sexton, Thomas R.

Professor Thomas R. Sexton is a leading researcher in efficiency and productivity measurement using the methodology of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Professor Sexton has published extensively on the theory, methods, and applications of DEA in health care, finance, and sports management, among other areas. Much of this work is in partnership with Professor Herbert F. Lewis. Professor Sexton is also an active researcher in the field of health care management.

Skorin-Kapov, Jadranka

Professor Jadranka Skorin-Kapov's area of research is optimization theory. She has published papers in leading journals in the area of discrete nonlinear optimization, and her work has been supported by National Science Foundation grants. Reflecting the complexity of problems arising in engineering, technology, and business, Professor Skorin-Kapov's research interests include design of efficient optimal or suboptimal algorithms with applications to telecommunication networks, layout and location, scheduling and manufacturing design. Her work includes strategies to measure robustness of proposed solutions via generalized sensitivity analyses.
