Professor Nugent has many years' work experience in both public and private corporations. He has held the position of SAP Financial System Analyst, where his responsibilities included customizing SAP software, configuring FICO financial modules, maintaining profit center structure and profitability determination, implementing SAP upgrade, and developing user documentation. In addition, Professor Nugent held the position of Accounting Manager, which involved determining cost of sales, profitability analysis, budgeting, standard costing, cost allocations, cost behavior determination, product cost estimating and overhead and variance analysis. Before arriving at Stony Brook in 1999, Professor Nugent worked for C.W. Post - Long Island University as an Assistant Professor of Finance.
