Arturo Andrade is a solutions-oriented Program/Project Manager with a proven track record of mission-critical Information Technology solution implementations. Six-Sigma Quality Black Belt trained with extensive experience focused on Software Development Life Cycle and Information Technology infrastructures, leading multiple custom software developments and solution deployments, as well as Unified Communications, Contact Center, and Voice over IP custom software project implementations.
Extensive experience managing customer facing software development programs for Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. Software Solutions developed and deployed internationally through virtual and co-located project teams, with focus on business case, budget, time, and cost management. Software solutions implemented across various industries, including: Retail, Financial, Education, Health Care, Hospitality, Telecommunications, Utilities, Transportation, and Logistics, among others.
Trained Six-Sigma Quality Black Belt focused on creating significant improvement to organizations. This role added value by evolving the culture to a Lean Six Sigma based business and applying process management tools & methods to problem areas tied to Top Level Indicators. Related to Quality Management, Mr. Andrade is also ISO 9001 internal auditor, who has held internal audit coordination responsibilities.
Education includes Master of Science in Management and Advanced NYS Certification in Management Information Systems from Stony Brook University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the Universidad de las Americas. Graduate of the Leadership Edge Development Program (LEDP) at Nortel Networks, a one-year long program focused on the development of company leaders. Most recently, obtained Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and currently enrolled in JPMorgan Chase’s Technology University with a focus on the Program Management curriculum.
Mr. Andrade’s professional experience in the area of Management of Operations comes from several years of international work experiences in Canada, Mexico, and the United States with world-class organizations. Currently with JPMorgan Chase Call Center Solutions Program Management Office and in the past, he has been part of industry leaders such as Nortel Networks, Avaya, IBM Canada, Ltd, and Periphonics Corporation. In addition to these corporate experiences, Mr. Andrade has small business experience obtained through several years of managing health care related organizations.
Arturo Andrade has been Adjunct Faculty since 1999 at Stony Brook and Hofstra Universities. His main focus has been in Operations Management, Expert Systems, and Management Information Systems, both at the graduate and undergraduate level.
