Bob is a Partner in the Accounting firm of AVZ and has been with them since 1980. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants where he serves as chairman of the Banker/CPA Golf Outing Committee for the Suffolk Chapter, he is a past President of the Suffolk Chapter and has also acted as chairman of the Emerging Technologies/Management of an Accounting Practice Committee and is a past chairman of its Real Estate and Construction Contractor Committee for the Suffolk Chapter. In addition, Mr. Quarté serves on the Peer Review Committee for New York State, is a team captain of peer reviews for the AICPA and serves as Treasurer for the HIA-LI Board of Directors.
Mr. Quarté is a registered representative who has passed the FINRA Series 7 and NASAA Series 66 exams. He also holds a New York State Life and Health Insurance License. Mr. Quarté works on a variety of accounting and auditing engagements including clients in the retail, manufacturing, construction, real estate, and distribution industries as well as Employee Benefit Plan Audits. He provides management advisory services, financial projections, business valuations, accounting systems and controls, and estate planning.
Mr. Quarté holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Hofstra University and publishes articles for financial and local publications. He is an Adjunct Professor at Stony Brook University teaching an Advanced Accounting Problems course to graduate students. He is also an active member in various civic and charitable organizations, including Long Island Cares and Long Island University Post Student Advisory Board.
Center for Behavioral Finance launches website: The Center for Behavioral Finance at Stony Brook University brings together researchers from different disciplines to conduct research in behavioral finance. We aim at producing cutting-edge research in all fields of behavioral finance and (financial) decision making, mostly using experiments, publishable in top-tier journals in finance, judgment and decision making and psychology.
