Eligibility

All interested candidates must:

  • Have participated in a Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program

  • Have obtained a bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline 

  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Be accepted into a STEM graduate program at Stony Brook

  • Want to pursue a doctoral degree in a STEM discipline

How to Apply

In order to apply to the Bridge to the Doctorate Fellowship, students must meet the eligibility qualifications listed above as well as be admitted into a graduate program at Stony Brook University.
