The Department of Asian and Asian American Studies received U.S. Department of Education Grant: Title VI, Undergraduate International Studies and Foreign Language Program; $171,000 for 2007-2009 (PI: S.N. Sridhar; Co-PIs: Agnes Weiyun He, Eriko Sato, and Kamal K. Sridhar) for the project “Initial Certification in the Teaching of Asian Languages.”
