Dr. William D. Jemison is the Dean of the Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering at Clarkson University. Jemison joined Clarkson in 2010 as Chair of Electrical & Computer Engineering. He was named Clarkson’s Vice Provost for Research in 2012, while continuing to serve as Chair. In 2015, he became the Dean of the Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering. In 2017 he was named the inaugural Tony Collins Chair of Innovative Engineering Culture.  Jemison is part of the leadership team for Clarkson Ignite, a university-wide initiative to expand the innovation ecosystem at Clarkson across all schools and disciplines.  Jemison represents Clarkson on several regional technology and economic development initiatives that address power, energy, cyber, and advanced manufacturing. Prior to joining Clarkson he worked in government and industry and taught at Lafayette College.  Jemison holds several U.S. patents and has published widely in the areas of microwave systems and antennas, and fiber optics for radar, communications and underwater lidar. Jemison is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).  He received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, M.S. in Engineering Science from Pennsylvania State University, and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Lafayette College.
