COMMUNICATION & HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS WORKSHOP

This workshop will help students identify characteristics of healthy relationships and learn effective strategies for communicating and addressing conflict within relationships. Group members will learn and develop skills useful for managing everyday social interactions, including how to express needs, wants, feelings and opinions and how to handle and negotiate conflict. Improved interpersonal communication skills can contribute to improvements in mood and relationships, as well as to reducing stress and anxiety and enhancing academic success.

The group will meet on three consecutive Thursdays (Feb 28th, March 7th, March 14th) from 2p - 3:15p in the CPO Lounge (room 221 in the Union).

PASS - FREE TUTORING PROGRAM

Stony Brook's Undergraduate Student Government (USG), now offers a FREE peer tutoring program called PASS (Providing Academic Support for Students). PASS provides free personal tutoring to all students who pay the Student Activity Fee.  Tutors are paired with no more than 3 students per session to ensure that each student recieves the support and attention they need.
