Friday, October 26 @ 4 p.m.
  • Last day to process a Section Change or Credit Change for an enrolled course. Section change/Credit change form with appropriate signatures required for processing.
  • Last day to change a class to or from the Grade/Pass/No Credit (GPNC) option. Students are allowed to elect the GPNC option for only one course per semester.***View Video Tutorial Below.***
  • Last day to drop a course. (“W” will be recorded). Full-time students must remain full-time with a minimum of twelve (12.0) credits.

Thursday, November 1

  • Last day for removal of Incomplete & NR grades from the Spring & Summer 2012 terms.

Monday, November 5

Advance registration tentatively set to begin for Winter & Spring 2013 semesters. (See #3 Below)

   1.  THE NEW GPNC GRADING OPTION

The P/NC grading option has been revised effective this Fall 2012.  Please watch the following video tutorial to learn about the new GPNC option.  Please remember the deadline to elect the GPNC option for Fall 2012 is October 26 at 4 p.m.

To find your Enrollment Appointment follow these steps below.  Your Enrollment Appointment is the date and time on which you can begin registering for Spring 2013 classes.

(Your Enrollment Appointment will be available on or around October 29 @ 4 p.m.)

1.  Log-in to SOLAR
2.  Click on Student Records & Registration
3.  Select Enrollment link
4.  Click Enrollment Date and choose Spring 2013

4.   WINTER SESSION COURSE IN COSTA RICA

The Sustainability Studies Program in conjunction with International Programs and GREEN, a Global Renewable Energy Education Network is pleased to announce our new winter program session in Costa Rica, January 9- 20, 2013.  It is a four credit, DEC H, Upper division course titled, Sustainability and Renewable Energy in Costa Rica, ENV 310.  The program offers a comprehensive 12 day overview of several types of alternative energy and sustainability. This in-depth experience is supported with topic-specific lectures, online readings and assignments, and work on an interdisciplinary capstone project. Students will also collaborate with local engineers on a community service project to provide the local communities with accessible water or other sustainability initiatives.

The Stony Brook Health Outreach and Medical Education (SB HOME)

SB HOME is a free student-run clinic managed by medical students with physician oversight. The UCEP (Undergraduates Clinical Experience Program) is an excellent opportunity designed to expose Stony Brook undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students to a clinical setting. They will be educated on fundamental clinical skills in a diverse setting of patients with non-emergent conditions.


Applications will be available opening October 29, 2012 through November 7, 2012 for the spring semester program.
