Bridges Program

BRIDGESis an academic support program offered through the Academic and Transfer Advising Services office. The program is open to students having academic difficulty at the University in an effort to assist in improving their academic standing and success.

BRIDGESpairs currently enrolled students who have less than a 2.0 cumulative GPA with students involved in the Academic Peer Advisor Internship. If you elect to participate, you will be paired with a peer advisor, ideally in your academic major, and be asked to meet with your Peer Advisor during the semester to review your progress. Strategies for success include assessing study skills and time management, examining class schedules/major choice, and reviewing campus resources available to support your academic progress. Past students involved in the program have found the peer connection extremely valuable, as we specifically select peers who are caring, supportive, and helpful.

If you would like to become a member of the BRIDGES Program, please fill out the following form here. If you have any questions, please contact the office at 631-632-7082, option 2.
