Each year, we honor alumni and other members of the Stony Brook family who were lost
on September 11, 2001. Their deaths strengthen our resolve as a University community
to foster the most basic ideals of freedom and equality.
Please observe a moment of silence at 8:46 am. Join students, faculty and staff to remember those who perished and honor those who volunteered. Join us to place memorial pinwheels on the Academic Mall
