The China Studies Program offers the Chinese Language Challenge Exam in Fall and Spring semesters. This exam is designed for students who wish to be exempt from the University Foreign Language Requirement, or who wish to receive credits for any of the Chinese language courses that are offered by the Chinese Language Program. The exam consists of five sections: listening comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, composition, and interpretation of literature.
Date, time and location information are announced at the beginning of each semester. Students are given two (2) hours to complete the exam.Candidates should bring with them to the exam the following items:
- Student ID
- Application Form (with academic advisor's signature)
- Receipt of Payment ($50 for Language Skills; $50 per credit for any language course)
- A No. 2 (soft lead) Pencil
The exam results will be available in 7-10 business days.
