| ORGANIC AND ORGANOMETALLIC CHEMISTRY Our research in organometallic chemistry centers about the structure and reactivity of organotransition metal compounds, including ones of synthetic importance. The latter include metal-alkylidene compounds and metal-coordinated o-xylylenes. We are interested in the interactions of organic functional groups with carbon-metal bonds and the effects of these interactions on structure, fluxional properties, and reactivity. Stabilization of highly reactive organic moieties through metal complexation also constitutes an important thrust of our efforts. |
