available for those pursuing teacher certification
in math & science
$10,000 Scholarship
Scholarship recipients must:
- commit to teach in a high-needs secondary school for a minimum of two years upon certification
- be a full-time senior or graduate student pursuing teaching certification in mathematics or a science discipline at Stony Brook University
- have an outstanding academic record – minimum 3.0 GPA
- be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Application requirements:
- two essays
- letters of recommendation
- transcript
- interview of selected applicants
