Robert Noyce Scholarship

available for those pursuing teacher certification
in mathematics & science

Awards:
Undergraduate: $20,000 for teacher preparation
Graduate: $10,000 for last year of teacher preparation

 

Scholarship recipients must:

  • commit to teach in a high-needs school for two years upon certification
  • be a full-time student in mathematics or a science discipline at Stony Brook University
  • have an outstanding academic record – minimum 3.0 GPA
  • be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Application requirements:

  • two essays
  • letters of recommendation
  • transcripts
  • interview of applicants
