Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC) Fellows


FORMER FELLOWS

 

Mbaye Diop, who was mentored by Dr. Nicole Sampson in the Department of Chemistry, graduated from Stony Brook University in Spring 2010 and now is now in the pharmacy program at Long Island University.
Sandy Hernandez, who was mentored by Dr. Emilia Entcheva in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, graduated from Stony Brook University in the Summer 2010 and is now at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland for a year as a Post-bachelor student researcher under the program called "Biomedical Research Training Program for Individuals from Underrepresented Groups" (BRTPUG) in the Laboratory of Molecular Physiology headed by James Sellers, Ph.D.
Kevin Knockenhauer, who was mentored by Dr. Sandy Simon in the Department of Pathology, graduated from Stony Brook University in Spring 2010 and now is a PhD graduate student in the Department of Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Michael Scheid, who was mentored by Dr. Emilia Entcheva in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, graduated from Stony Brook University in Spring 2010 and now is in Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program at Northwestern University.
