After graduating college, Delon worked as a teaching and research assistant in the electron microscopy lab at Hunter College. He then went on to become the three time CUNY Conference Championship women’s swimming and diving coach and assistant coach of the NCAA Division III Regional Championship softball team at Hunter College. Later he served as a Research Technician in the Department of Pediatrics at Stony Brook University where he performed research to study lung development and the secretion of surfactants. While there he trained Neonatal Fellows to perform basic science techniques and assist them with their research projects. Delon has been a member of the Wildlife Conservation Society, New York Aquarium Volunteer Dive Team since the program started in 2003. Currently, as Laboratory Manager for CESAME, Delon helps to provide the critical support that keeps the labs running smoothly from day to day.
