University Post Office
The University Post Office is a Postal retail operation that serves the personal needs of students, staff and faculty of the University at Stony Brook. This unit is located in the basement of the Student Activities Center. It complements the current campus mail system by offering a location to purchase stamps, money orders, and retail items such as envelopes, padded mail bags, etc. This retail operation also accepts domestic and international mail, express mail, priority mail, certified and registered mail and certificate of mailings. In addition, a limited number of Post Office boxes are available for rent to any member of the campus community.
The University Post Office is available to the entire campus community and especially benefits the thousands of resident undergraduate students, many of whom do not have access to vehicles. Our window clerks are trained to handle all types of mailing requirements.

- The University Post Office is closed Saturday and Sunday year-round.
- The University Post Office will be closed on State and Federal holidays.
