Fueling our
Excellence

Ensuring the flexibility to sustain our success

STONY BROOK
ANNUAL FUND

The Stony Brook Annual Fund is a vital means of providing ongoing support to make the greatest immediate impact on our community. The Annual Fund supports scholarships, graduate research stipends, start up money for new initiatives, and various academic priorities across our colleges and schools. Annual giving allows our deans, directors and other faculty to respond quickly to new opportunities and urgent needs not covered by tuition and endowment spending. This ensures that all members of our community enjoy an enriching, dynamic university experience.

But we face the same challenges as institutions across the country—less federal and state funding, skyrocketing costs (particularly for STEM education) and an increasingly competitive market for recruiting the best students. To keep recruiting the best young minds and future leaders from across the socioeconomic spectrum, we need your support.
