Research Interests
I have been investigating the validity of conventional ethnographic inquiry, specifically as it relates to Latin American postmodern culture. I use primary sources in various forms to explain and understand present day Hispanic immigrant cultural identity in the Americas. My current project centers on the Hispanic postmodern novel, the literary imagination, and visual art as a means of painting culture. I also use the classroom experience as a way of diversifying the message and listening to conflicting truths.
