- The National Graduate Student Research Festival provides an opportunity for advanced graduate students from across the United States to visit the NIH main campus. The goal of the festival is to recruit outstanding students to postdoctoral positions at the NIH. During the festival, participants will:
- discover the unique research approaches employed at NIH
- explore opportunities for postdoctoral training
- present their research to an audience of peers and NIH scientists
- meet NIH fellows and investigators, and
- tour NIH’s extensive research and clinical facilities.

AACR Funding Opportunities for Anti-Angiogenesis Research

The AACR Judah Folkman Career Development Award for Anti-Angiogenesis Research will be awarded to support research projects restricted to basic, clinical, translational or epidemiological projects that will substantially advance the field of anti-angiogenesis research in cancer. This award is open to junior faculty who completed postdoctoral studies or clinical fellowships no more than three years prior to the start of the grant term; who are in their first full-time, faculty appointment and hold the title of Instructor, Research Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor, or an equivalent full-time faculty appointment; and who are at an academic, medical, or research institution. These are two-year grants of up to $100,000. Up to one grant will be awarded.

Faculty Position – Assistant Professor
University of Maryland School of Medicine- The interdepartmental Program in Genetics and Genomic Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking candidates at the Assistant Professor rank whose background and experience will support appointment on the tenure track. Postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty transitioning to newly-independent faculty status will be considered. Qualified candidates should have attained the degree of M.D., Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., PharmD or equivalent degree and interdisciplinary research expertise in human genetics/genomics, pharmacogenomics, genetic epidemiology, or statistical genetics.
