National Conferences
AGEP Recruits annually at the following national and regional conferences:
- ABRCMS: Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students.
- NSBE: National Society for Black Engineers.
- SACNAS: The Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science.
- SHPE: Society for Hispanic and Professional Engineers.
- CSTEP: New York State Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program Annual Conference
- HBCU: Historically Black Colleges and Universities
- Collaborations with other institutions
2.Assistance with Grant Support
- AGEP provide information about broader University strategies being used to diversify graduate student enrollment and career placement. We have provided assistance on NIH training grants, IGERT proposals, GAANN proposals as well as various NSF, NIH and DOE proposals.
3.Maintenance of longitudinal data on enrollment and degrees
4.Participation in committees and other collaborations
NSF is offering $30,000 annual stipends to graduate students via its Graduate Research Fellowship Program (see details here)
AGEP is Anouncing the 11th Annual AGEP Summer Research Institute at Stony Brook University.
- This residential research program will run from June 1 to August 6, 2010.
- Deadline for applications is March 5, 2010.
