To support the academic mission of Stony Brook
University by educating students about the career decision-making
process, helping them plan and attain their career goals, and
assisting with their smooth transition to the workplace or further
education.
Disability Support Services (DSS)
Assists students with disabilities in accessing the many resources of the University. Individuals with visual, mobility and hearing impairments as well as those with hidden disabilities such as chronic medical conditions, psychological, and learning disabilities are invited to make use of the services and equipment available. Individuals with permanent or temporary disabilities are also encouraged to consult with DSS. The DSS office will contact instructors when a DSS student is enrolled in your class and what accommodations are needed for the student to complete class projects and examinations in a timely manner. In addition, the DSS staff supports the interaction between the faculty, students and community agencies.
Ombuds Office
An informal and confidential service available to Stony Brook
students, staff, faculty & administrators to resolve complaints and
evaluate options for positive action.
